Back in the Swing of Things

Like I mentioned yesterday, it's been a long (and awesome, and exciting, and nerve-racking, and everything else) couple of months.  I have completely neglected this little corner of the blogosphere I like to call my own - sorry, little one!  

But just because you falter doesn't mean you fail, and just because you go mia for a bit doesn't mean all is lost.  I am back and I am ready to kick things off!! 

Words, in my opinion, to live by.

The upcoming weekend is a very exciting one for our family - I get to welcome a new brother into the mix when my sister-friend sister-in-law Emily marries her best friend Clayton!  I couldn't be more excited to rock my bridesmaid dress, eat some of the candy buffet (but not too much!) and even sneak a couple slow dances with my husband.  Because really, what else do you need to have an awesome weekend??

Luckily for me, though, the fun continues!  Over the next several days I will be filling up the final few slots in my next challenge group!  This one is a whole new ballgame, folks.  I have noticed that people struggle the most with healthy eating and meal planning - what is clean eating?  What can I eat?  What should I avoid?  How do I know what a serving size is?  What do I do when I really just want a big, heaping bowl of mac n' cheese?

I get it, trust me!  When I first started on my weightloss journey I was 249 pounds of health-and-fitness clueless!  I knew that salads were good, salt was bad and that processed foods are mostly composed of processed crap.  But even with knowing those things I didn't know how to use food to fuel my journey and improve my life.  I thought of dieting as cutting things out and keeping a stiff upper lip until the weight came off so I could go back to eating those foods.  

Maybe you're already a couple steps ahead of where I was - and if you are, I applaud you!  But this challenge group can STILL help you.  For the first 7 days I will be giving you all my tips and tricks for clean eating, meal planning and how to prep your food for the week.  This will give you a crash course in how to live healthy, rather than live a diet!

Following those first 7 days will be 60 days of goal setting, motivation, clean eating, working out and FUN!  Challenge groups make all the difference in the world, and your waistline!  If you are willing to commit to the future you you hope to see in the mirror, I will commit 100% to helping you get there!  

Everyone will be doing a Beachbody workout program (which I can help you choose!  Ever heard of Insanity, the 21 Day Fix, Turbo Fire or P90x??  All of these are options as well as a ton more!) and replacing one meal a day with Shakeology (this not only gives you incredible nutrition, it makes meal planning a whole heck of a lot easier!)
