Tonight was a mash-up of a bunch of things that I haven't been able to get to in the last couple of days. Yesterday when I was home on break from work (I live close enough to where I work that I walk home for my breaks... I love my life!) I made up sugar cookie dough for our open house at the bank. Basically, the cookies involve sugar and butter...
Not ALLLL that butter... that'd be a bit overkill. This, folks, is not just any type of butter, though. Has anyone been to the Minnesota State Fair? Well, every year there is a refrigerated booth where a woman carves heads out of a giant slab of butter. The heads represent the finalists for "Princess Kay of the Milky Way". Check it out here if you haven't heard of it before! Hubby's sister is a former finalist, and we got some of the butter that wasn't used for her head! So I got it out for Christmas baking- good stuff!
The song just changed to "Sunday Morning." Definitely one of my favorites!
Here's the mid-way point...
And yes, I am making cookies I got from the Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook. Judge me if you like, but the cookies are fabulous! They're supposed to be Hagrid's recipe, and whenever I make them they disappear! Plus- they're easy. Always a good thing!
I made a couple different shapes, and I realize that they do look a bit boring- but I prefer to not have a bunch of frosting and sprinkles covering everything (ask me to show you the same cookies after I have kids... they'll probably be swimming in frosting!) But for now, the more plain the better :)
Along with the cookies, I was able to wrap my last couple presents that needed to be pretti-fied, did dishes, laundry and got Christmas cards ready to be sent. Wait, scratch that. I almost got them done; I got tremendously sick of folding letters to fit with the cards and licking the envelopes. But, I can see them sitting on the coffee table waiting to be finished... I guess I'd better.
Oh, and in case you didn't already know- Adam Levine from Maroon 5 is hot. End of story. At least in my opinion.

I highly dislike Adam Levine, he looks like a more attractive version
of my old boss that petty much hated me. Also I think all the judges on the voice are obnoxious. I know I'm in the minority on this one. I do, however, like frosting-less sugar cookies. I don't have much of a sweet tooth so it's just all too much for me.
haha yeah I suppose that would make you not like him! I agree they're all pretty obnoxious, too. Think pretty highly of themselves!
